We are amazed at God’s goodness and appreciate your generosity toward our friends in Haiti. In the midst of the crisis and gang violence facing their country, so many of you have stepped up to partner with us and put food on the table for the children at the orphanage.

Here’s an excerpt of the email we received from the director of the orphanage:

As you may have seen and heard on the news, Haiti is in very bad shape. People are dying on a daily basis and the gang violence never stops. Food is available but at a very high price and we can only afford to feed our kids one meal a day. It’s a difficult time for all of us and your prayers are greatly needed at this time.

That’s why we are so excited to share with you that we finally launched our chicken farm! Thank you to each and every one of you for making this project a reality for our orphanage and community.

We have 150 chickens now and our goal is 1,000. The chicken farm allows us to sell eggs and chicken to local markets and our kids at the orphanage will have eggs and chicken to eat.

This chicken farm represents hope and the opportunity for the children to thrive (not just survive) in the orphanage and community. Check out the short video below and be encouraged by the difference you are making.

While your prayers for the desperate conditions in Haiti are needed, your financial support is critical as we continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus, meeting the needs of the children (and help them reach their goal of 1,000 chickens). By helping us nourish fragile young lives, you are not just feeding children but helping rebuild an entire nation.
