Imagine the feeling of excitement and joy a child has when they’re on their way to a week of camp. Every summer, hundreds of boys and girls from the vast landmass of Alaska and the islands of its southeast coast, come to a small Bible Camp just north of Juneau. Some even travel three days on an arduous ferry journey. Many hear the Gospel for the first time and look forward to returning the following year to learn more and receive much-needed encouragement.

A very high percentage of youth in Alaska suffer from depression, substance abuse and suicide. The good news is that there is a place for the children and young people of Alaska to receive love, affirmation and the saving hope of Jesus Christ. This small Bible Camp is run by dedicated volunteers who raise their own support to be able to serve there every summer.  Would you, as someone who’s been blessed by the beauty of Alaska, sow into the youth of this state?
